We welcome you to our home, FrippHaven, right on the famous Fripp Canal. You are steps from the beach with marsh views showcasing the best sunsets on the island. Gather on our 40-foot, ocean view front porch in the evening, sip a drink and watch the pelicans fly by. We have counted as many as 50 in a flock, flying single file from horizon to horizon.

FrippHaven features six bedrooms – one deluxe master suite on the main, third-floor, with a king size bed and attached porch with expansive marsh views. The deluxe master bath has both a large shower with rain shower head and an air-jetted “bubble tub”. Also on the third floor, the office has a fold-out sofa bed. There is a half-bath adjoining the office for your convenience. This office also has a flat-panel television with DVD player and satellite television system.

The first floor is ground level, and it serves as a staging area for all of your island activities. The second and third floors contain over 4,500 square feet of living space. This home has a reverse floor plan with the main kitchen and living area on the third floor. An elevator services all floors of FrippHaven for added convenience and ease of unloading heavy bags and groceries (may NOT accommodate a wheelchair). In addition, the home has multiple sets of stairs exiting to the front and to the back.

On the third floor, the main floor, the gourmet kitchen adjoins a 30 x 30 foot living area with sunroom along with expansive front and back porches, making it seem like you never have to leave. Before dinner, you will enjoy fine views of the ocean and the passing birds and golf carts, listening to your choice of music broadcast to every room and porch, directly through the full-house speakers on the stereo system. Gather your friends, gather your family, for card games on the three game tables in the living area. A group of ladies playing bridge, or three generations in a battle of “Go Fish” for the ages, will find a place to face-off.

The island’s finest dining is right on the back porch of FrippHaven, where you can enjoy a meal prepared in the gourmet kitchen which features a top-of-line Dacor cooking center, with a 48 inch, six burner gas stovetop and two ovens. Complement your meal with a bottle of wine, which you may store in our 50-bottle wine refrigerator. You won’t waste space in the built-in side-by-side refrigerator / freezer on drinks – the bar area has two refrigerated drink drawers. There is also a commercial ice maker in the kitchen. After dinner, retire to the main living area to enjoy a movie in full surround sound on the 50-inch flat screen television.

The second floor also features a kids’ den, which is set up to engage children of all ages. From the flat-screen television (with ample room for an active frame of Wii Bowling, should you bring your game system) to the play area in the back, to the game table ready for all-night board game challenges, your family will find ample entertainment for both young and old. In all, this home contains six flat-screen televisions, all of which access hundreds of channels via DirecTV satellite service. All three master suites have televisions, and there is also one in the kids’ den and the third floor office.

On the second floor, you will find two more master suites, each with king size beds, opening to patios with views over the marsh. The two master baths feature large showers. Two more bedrooms, each with a pair of twin beds, have private baths with tub / shower combinations, and a fifth bedroom plus a daybed share a laundry / bathroom space, which has a shower.

The first floor of the home is a wide-open area with ample room for rainy day activities – from hopscotch to arts and crafts; FrippHaven will still keep you entertained regardless of the weather or time of year. You can relax on the back patio, which has a charcoal grill, overlooking the dock. Use the dock for your boat or water scooter – the Fripp Canal has direct access to Skull Inlet and leads to some of the finest fishing grounds on the East Coast. Dual garage door entrances allow you covered parking for two vehicles. In addition, you can easily park up to seven additional vehicles on the parking pads in front of the house.

You decide whether or not to remain out-of-touch while you stay here. This home features high speed wireless internet connections on both the first and second floor in addition to high-speed Ethernet cable connections in all bedrooms. Just bring your laptop, with a wireless modem or Ethernet cable, and you will remain connected.

Once you step beyond the doors of FrippHaven, you have all of the amenities for which Fripp Island is so famous. The beach is steps from the door, right across the street. Please take our beach chairs and umbrella, and don’t forget to grab some toys and beach towels from the first floor on your way. On your return, two outdoor showers are available to quickly rinse off the sand. One half mile to the south is the end of the island, a wonderful place to go crabbing or fishing directly from the shore in addition to being a great destination for an evening golf-cart ride to watch the sun set over Skull Inlet. You have ready access to all island pools. The tennis courts are within walking or biking distance. And of course, there are the two world-renowned golf courses.
